The building
This is a separate site of an operator that builds several villages each winter, not a hotel building with a permanent address. Domed rooms are cut and packed from snow and grouped around communal domes, then left to melt in spring. Sleeping rooms are unheated, and guests use insulated bags and mats supplied on site.

The village stands on the plateau below the summit of the Zugspitze, on the German side of the border, reached by rack railway and cable car from the valley. Ski runs and the glacier area surround it. There is no road access, and the plateau closes when lifts stop for weather.
